Narrative of the Field Operations Connected With the Zulu War of 1879 was first published in 1881 and reprinted in 1907, prepared in the Intelligence Branch of the Quarter-master General's Department of the War Office. It is now known that the author was Captain J S Rothwell, RA. This is a facsimile reproduction of the original, complete and unabridged, including imperfections from the now fragile original.
