xxx, 582pp, with tipped in photographic portrait of Rt Hon John Staples, Lord Mayor of London, on frontispiece.  In red cloth covered boards with blind embossed and gilt decorations front and spine, blind embossed on verso.  Speckled edges.  Contemporary advertisements on endpapers.  8vo.  Boards a little discoloured on edges, gently rubbed at rounded at spine ends and corners, a couple of marks, lightly sunned over spine.  Endpapers tanned.  The occassional small mark on pages else neat, clean, bright and tight throughout.
