First edition.  286pp, with black and white plate illustrations.  In black cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on spine.  Signed and dated by Yehudi Menuhin on the title page, dated September 17 1963.  8vo.  Cloth is rubbed and rounded at titles and spine ends, spine cloth creased, some slight mottling and indentations.  Boots Booklovers Library label on front panel.  Text block edges spotted.  Internally this volume is a veritable tribute and extensive archive on Yehudi Menuhin. Almost every white space in teh volume has been pasted over with newspaper clippings, reviews and articles, dating from the early 1950s to the mid 1960s, regarding Yehudi Menuhin and his performances.  Also loosely laid in are two copies of the Order of Proceedings for the Conferment of an Honorary Degree for Menuhin, which took place at the University of Liverpool on 17 September 1963 (the day Yehudi Menuhin signed the book), a flyer for his Recital on 26th September 1944 held to raise funds for China, and flyer promoting a Menuhin concert - Mozart and the Magic Flute - at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on June 5 1965, as well as further newspaper clippings and magazine articles. There are also some hard to decipher pencil notes on the front endpapers.  The extent of the additional material has thickened the book, resulting in some strained gutters and loosening.

Yehudi Menuhin, Baron Menuhin, was an American-born violinist and conductor, widely considered one of the finest violinists of the 20th century.
