[1919] 76pp. Tissue guarded portrait plate frontispiece and seven further plate illustrations of musical scores etc. Rebound in plain boards, canvas over spine, with replaced endpapers, titles printed on the front panel and on paper spine label. 8vo. Ex reference library (University of California) with their bookplate on the front paste down and occasional perforated stamps. Boards are worn and toned, gently rubbed and rounded on corners and spine ends. Spine label curling at edges. A little faint and occasional spotting on pages, gutter parting between frontispiece and title page else internally neat and clean.
A now very hard to find title. Siloti, the Russian virtuoso pianist, conductor and composer, recalls Franz Liszt, with whom he studied early in his career. Siloti, together with Toscannini, gave a legendary all-Liszt concert in November 1930.
