First edition, first impression.  80pp, with many drawings.  Green cloth-covered boards, gilt lettering on spine.  Title page printed in red and black. Slim 8vo.  Cloth a little worn, gently pushed at spine base. Previous owner's name neatly inked on front free endpaper, endpapers slightly toned.  Pages have been compressed hence a little wavy in places.

A selection of Seago's drawings from which he painted during his leave from service in the second world war, with his own commentary and interpretation much of which is laced with this war experiences.  Seago comments 'there may, at this time, be one or two lovers of the English landscape whi will care for these interludes of Peace in War'.
