First edition.  xii, 306, 48pp, with a tissue guarded frontispiece and further black and white plate illustrations.  Blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering front and spine.  Top edge gilt.  8vo.  Cloth worn, gently rounded at corners and at ends of sunned and rubbed spine.  Fore and lower text block edges toned.  Internally some minor warpage, faint and occasional spotting, and some signs of handling and use.  One gutter strained.

A loving and curiousity-driven description of the animals in London's  the Zoological Gardens in Regent's Park - Lions, Seals,  Tigers, Giraffes, Otters - and some discussion of the management and operation of the Zoo.
