First edition, first impression.  A typewritten noted from Mrs George Cadbury, presenting the book, loosely laid in.  x, 324pp, with monochrome plate illustrations.  Blue publisher's cloth-covered boards, gilt-stamped lettering on the spine.  8vo.  Cloth a little worn, lightly rubbed at spine ends, slightly sunned over spine.  Text block edges a little toned, as are the endpapers else internally neat, clean and tight.

George Cadbury was a Birmingham businessman, Quaker and social reformer.  The son of John Cadbury, he took on his father tea, coffee and coca business and turned into a major chocolate and confectionary company.
