Decorated endpapers.  8vo.  Cloth slightly pushed at spine ends.  Internally neat, clean, bright and tight.  In its original, laminated dust wrapper, bumped and browned at edges, a little shelf worn and now slightly misfitting.

The second volume of A L Rowse's autobiography, following on from A Cornish Childhood, in which he recounts his transition from Cornwall to Oxford and his days at the university.  It is also an insightful portrait of a brillant generation of Oxford undergraduates.
