First edition.  270pp, with black and white plate frontispiece and occasional further black and white plate illustrations.  Blue publisher's cloth-covered boards, gilt-stamped lettering on the spine.  8vo.  Cloth gently rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends.  Mild offset tanning on endpapers else internally neat, clean, bright and tight.  In its original illustrated dust wrapper, rubbed at edges, shelf worn, rounding at ends of a scratched and rippled spine, price clipped.  Dust wrapper now protected in an archival-quality Mylar wrapper, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives.
