First UK edition (previously published in the USA136pp, with some black and white plate illustrations and line drawings in text. Red publisher's cloth-covered boards, black lettering front and spine. 8vo. Cloth has a little uneven fading, rubbed and rounded on corners and spine ends. Some spotting and marks on text block edges and endpapers. Previous owner's name neatly inked on front paste down. Dust wrapper chipped with long upper edge, at spine ends and across mid spine, spine sunned and brittle. Dust wrapper now protected in an archival-quality Mylar wrapper, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives.
