40pp stapled booklet in illustrated light card covers. Illustrated, with folding map at rear. Landscape 32mo. Covers are worn, rubbed at edges and a little faded. Some minor signs of handling throughout else internally clean and tight. The printed pagination is incorrect and has been corrected on each page in manuscript.
A lovely vintage guide to and history of the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya, to the west of the city of Kandy in Sri Lanka. The Gardens date back to 1371 but was formally established in 1843 with plants brought from Kew Gardens in London, Slave Island, and the Kalutara Garden.
