Harriet Cohen (1895-1967) was a concert pianist, known for her recordings and transcriptions of works by Bach, her promotion of contemporary composers, her four-decade long affair with Arnold Bax and her activism on Jewish and Zionist causes. A prolific writer, she published two books in her life time as well as countless articles and opinion pieces. Her memoirs where published after her sudden death in 1967.
