Third edition. 116pp, plus black and white plate illustrations and charming line drawings in text.  Green cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on the spine.  8vo.  Cloth very slightly pushed at spine ends.  Internally neat, clean, bright and tight.  In its original illustrated dust wrapper, a little rubbed at edges with minor loss on lower corners.

First published in 1935, this was one of the first books to record English country life at a time when farming and rural occupations were closely entwined and people really belonged to the countryside, relying on its for their daily existence.
