465pp plus 40pp of publisher's contemporary adverts bound in at rear. Deep blue cloth boards with gilt lettering and decoration to spine. Marie Corelli monogram embossed in gilt on front board. Rough cut pages. 8vo. Boards a little rubbed at extremities, especially so at head of spine which is worn. Endpapers tanned and spotted with some spotting to page edges. Binding weakened but still effective. Very attractive copy of this classic, if now largely overlooked, seventh novel from popular novelist Marie Corelli.
