Blackstock wrote under several pen names including Ursula Torday (her given name); Lee Blackstock; Paula Allardyce and, later in her career, Charlotte Keppel. This crime story, which was nominated for the Edgar Allan award, was later published under the title Women in the Woods in the USA.
