Two volumes from one of the many incarnations of Nelson's Classics series, this from around 1950. Uniformly volumes with cream-coloured boards, gilt decoration to spine and deep red spine labels printed over with gilt titles. Upper text block edges coloured red. Both in original glassine wrappers - scarce survivals as these were usually discarded by buyers. 16mo. Very few marks on boards but some slight discolouration at extreme edges. Spines a little sunned. Internally all bright, crisp and clean. Glassine over-jackets chipped on both volumes with some loss. Previous owner's initials on front free endpapers.
