Presumed first edition. Not dated but 1882. 140pp plus publisher's catalogue bound in at rear (loose). Decorated and illustrated on front board and spine. Red cloth boards (rubbed and worn at edges, some mild marks). Some finger marks and spotting on pages. Previous owner's name in pencil on front paste down. Binding cracked but holding solid. Frontis absent. Five further monochrome illustrations by various artists, showing some ink. Very hard to find volume from the late 19th century, containing enlightening if somewhat romanticized stories of contemporary schoolboy life, adventures and antics. Lovely decorated colours typical of the period. 0
