140pp. Card covered boards, in dust jacket (rubbed and frayed at edges, some loss at base of spine). Previous owner's name on endpaper. Some tanning on endpapers, else neat, clean, bright and tight. Detailed study of the impact and interpretation of the Truck Acts passed by the UK Parliament between 1831 and 1887 to regulation the practice of paying workmen in goods rather than money (the Truck System) and wider industrial relations. Very hard to find volume.
