Not dated but c1940s. Published by the Thriller Book Club in association with Evans . Green cloth boards, black titles to spine, in a period pictorial dust jacket (boards gently rounded and rubbed at corners and spine tips, DJ a little rubbed and chipped at edges with frays along base and small paper scar on front, shelf wear). Internally neat and clean but some page toning. The Thriller Book Club was one of several book clubs established by the famous London Booksellers, Foyles, in the 1930s and 1940s. It issued quality contemporary fiction from both new and established authors in the club's genre. A novel featuring Inspector West and Department Z.
