3rd printing, following first edition in 1940. Produced in conformity with war economy standards. 192pp. Orange publisher's cloth boards (worn, marked and rubbed at edges). Lending sheet on front endpaper but no other library markings. Well thumbed pages, some spotting, crease on rear endpaper,. In its original pictorial dust jacket ( rubbed and chapped at extremities, faded, worn through at corners, tape repairs on reverse). Pollard, awarded the Victoria Cross, became a prolific author in later life; once popular many of his titles are now very hard to find, especially in their original dust jackets, although this particular title does turn up from time to time. 12mo
