224pp. Red cloth boards ( rubbed and faded at edges and folds, rounded at corners and spine ends, lightly soiled). Slightly cocked. Library lending sheet on front endpaper, no other library marks. Old tape repair to endpapers gutter. Some marks and spotting on pages but basically clean and neat. In its original dust jacket (a tad faded, lightly chapped at edges, short nicks at spine tips, spine crease, shelf wear on verso). Dust jacket now in archival-quality mylar wrapper to protect & prolong the life of the jacket. It is not adhered to the book or to the dust jacket. Pollard, awarded the Victoria Cross, became a prolific author in later life; once popular many of his titles are now very hard to find, especially in their original dust jackets.
