First ed, first imp. 254pp. Black cloth boards (generally heavily worn, rounded at corners and spine ends, some mild marks). Lending sheet on front free endpaper, no other library markings. Old tape repair in front endpaper gutter and title page. Pages well-thumbed, a little spotting and the odd mark and corner fold. In its original dust jacket, artwork by Taylor (rubbed and chipped at edges, a few small, flat creases, spine crease, spine ends crumpled, faded, old interior tape reinforcements). Jacket fitted with archival-quality mylar wrapper to protect & prolong its life. It is not adhered to the book or to the jacket. James Hadley Chase was a pen name of Ren� Lodge Brabazon Raymond.
