166pp. Soft cloth covered wraps with title label to front (heavily rubbed and worn, with some spine cracking). Copperplate hand ink marks to front endpapers. Binding holding but fragile, and page edges worn and soft, mild toning and a few marks. Overall a fair copy suitable for reading, research or rebinding. An account of how the village of Eyam, Derbyshire, was affected by an outbreak of plague in 1665/6, and the extraordinary measures the villagers took, under the leadership of a local priest, to prevent spread of the disease.
