Not dated but c. 1870. xvi, 19-224pp,with 62 engraved illustrations. In original deep blue cloth boards, elaborately decorated with gilt and rules, mostly on spine. Bevelled edges. All edges gilt. Boards very gently rubbed at corners. Occasional, faint spotting on first and last few pages only, small faint water mark affecting title and contents page, else internally bright and fresh. Firmly bound and square. A selection of poetry reflecting human life, arranged into sections including childhood, manhood, youth, and old age.
