Pale olive cloth boards with red lettering (very gently rounded at corners and spine ends). Internally neat, clean bright and tight barring previous owner's name on front endpaper which also shows a hint of tanning. A fellow bookseller has described this book as perhaps the finest ever written on the lakes and lakeland, reflecting the beauties of the hills from a new perspective. Handsome volume. Covers Langdale, Black Coomb, Loughrigg, Dow Crag, Pillar Mountain, Mosedale, Wastwater, Buttermere, Skiddaw, Mardale, Oxendale, Silver How etc. A large and heavy volume which may require an additional charge for overseas delivery.
