xii, 196 ii. In a near contemporary plain cloth binding (boards worn, lightly rubbed at edges, faded). Author's inscription, presenting the volume to one Mr L Sewell(?). Small chip on original front endpaper, and some page toning, else internally neat and clean. An early 19th century account of the spring waters in Harrogate, first published in 1806, describing the baths, the springs, chemical analysis of the waters and medicinal usage, together with a brief history and geology of Harrogate and the surrounding area.
