Not dated but c 1870. Unpaginated. Dozens of hand-coloured, full page illustrations depicting costumes and modes of dress from the 9th century onwards. Bound in half-leather over paper covered boards. Gilt titles on spine, five raised bands. General wear especially towards bottom. Corners heavily rubbed. Marbled end papers. Evidence of fingering especially to prelim pages. Light tanning in page margins, not affecting images, light foxing throughout. Small lenders stamps on some pages, do not affect illustrations. Still very tight. Overall a beautiful volume. . Small Folio
