Not dated but apparently late 18th or early 19th century. 18pp chapbook extract, saddle stitched into later paper covers, together with an engraved portrait of Aram pasted onto a preceding leaf. Paper covers worn, discoloured and chapped at edges. Engraved image has leeched to opposing leaf. The chapbook itself is clean, fresh and neat with just a couple of signs of fingering. Aram, otherwise apparently a respectable teacher and steward, became infamous for the murder of Daniel Clarke - 'a most wicked and diabolical crime, for which he was executed near York on 6 August 1759 and afterwards hung in chains in Knaresborough Forest.
