(boards lightly soiled and marked, rubbed at edges, cloth cracked on spine joints and slightly fraying at spine ends). Previous owner's stamp on front free endpaper, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight barring a hint of browning to endpapers. Various records of Harrogate and its environs from the mid 16th to the early 19th centuries , with an extensive introduction giving a history of the Yorkshire town; includes an early history of the Harrogate waters and springs, as well as a fascinating account of unlawful hunting in the forest of Knaresborough towards the end of the 15th century and other similar records.
