Single sheet promotional flyer (folded at centre, some minor edge wear, one short repaired tear, a couple of mild stains) produced by the publishers, Chapman and Hall, to advertise the publication of the fourth edition of Walter White's classic work on Yorkshire. With an engraved vignette at top showing the Royal Crescent, Whitby. A rare and interesting survival, containing brief extracts from the book, in which White declares that Whitby, not Scarborough would be his choice location to spend a few weeks in Yorkshire. Approximately 9 by 5.5 inches.
