Not dated but likely 1830s. 14 leaves of sketches of scenes in the City of York, with steel engraved frontispiece and one further steel engravings. The sketches have decorative borders in a variety of colours. In plain paper wrappers, stitched. Wrappers a little chapped at edges and slightly soiled. Internally some signs of fingering but bright and fresh, very occasional, faint spotting. Scenes include St William's College, Laythorp Bridge, Old Ouse Bridge, Tower in the Walls etc. Scarce. LHB shows one copy, in the collection of the University of Leeds.
