1st edition. 12pp stitched booklet with printed card covers (covers a little worn at edges, one corner curled and perhaps a tad faded). Internally neat, clean and bright. There is a narrow strip absent from the top of the title page, not affecting the text. Michael Calvert, a chemist by calling, was largely responsible for the development of the Knaresborough Spa waters in the early part of the 19th century; a resident of the town, he also wrote a history of the town, its castle and forest which was published in 1844. Slim 16mo. Hard to find. LHD records one copy at the University of Leeds. Not in Boyne.
