First, perhaps only, edition. 288pp plus 32pp illustrated publisher's catalogue bound-in at rear. With three only of the called for six monochrome plate illustrations by J Finnemore. In full decorated cloth with gilt lettering to spine and front (cloth rubbed and warped, cracked over spine joints with minor loss at spine head, corners rounded). A little shaken. Ownership stamp on front paste down and opposite half title. Endpapers browned and occasional small marks on first few pages. A hard to find title which, while not in collectible condition, is eminently readable and will fill a gap in a collection nicely until a better copy can be found.
