1870s. Two volumes, containing Lytton's novel, What Will He Do With It?, uniformly bound. These volumes are from the Knebworth edition of Lytton's works, produced in the 1870s. Half dark blue leather binding, over lighter blue pebbled cloth, with gold rules decoration, five raised bands, gilt lettering and decoration on spine, all edges marbled, marbled endpapers, illustrated frontispiece. 414pp, 410pp. Boards a little rubbed at edges, especially on corners and head of spine. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight barring hints of aging on endpapers. Nice volumes, appealing to read and hold.
