1870s. 246pp. Engraved frontispiece. Volume from the Knebworth edition of Lord Lytton's works, produced in the 1870s. Half dark blue leather binding, over lighter blue pebbled cloth, with gold rules decoration, five raised bands, gilt lettering and decoration on spine, all edges marbled, marbled endpapers, illustrated frontispiece. Boards a little rubbed at edges, especially on corners and head of spine. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight barring minor old water mark affecting base of frontispiece and starting crack at gutter between front endpapers. Nice volume, appealing to read and hold.
