1870s. xxviii, 414pp. Engraved frontispiece. Volume from the Knebworth edition of Lord Lytton's works, produced in the 1870s. Half dark blue leather binding, over lighter blue pebbled cloth, with gold rules decoration, five raised bands, gilt lettering and decoration on spine, all edges marbled, marbled endpapers, illustrated frontispiece. Boards a little rubbed at edges, especially on corners and head of spine, with a little mottling of cloth. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight barring starting cracks at gutters between endpapers. Nice volume, appealing to read and hold. We have several more volumes, in the same, uniform, binding, from the Knebworth edition of Bulwer-Lytton's works - reasonable offers on multiple purchases welcome. 12 mo. Pausanias, an historical romance, was unfinished at the time of Lord Lytton's death. This edition was edited by his son.
