viii, 223pp plus plate frontispiece and three further full page plate illustrations by Paul Hardy. Book designed by Talwin Morris in his distinctive art deco, Glasgow school style. In red cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering and decoration, top edge gilt (boards a little soiled and rubbed at edges, spine somewhat sunned, text block edges a little dust marked). Grey endpapers, with Prize Presentation bookplate on front paste down, indicating the volume was awarded to Nellie Warman in 1905. Very occasional, mild spotting. An uncommon edition of this work, with only two copies listed on COPAC. 8vo.
