First UK edition, first printing (true first). Prelims plus 350pp. Deep green endpapers. In black cloth-covered boards with silver titles on spine, top edge coloured. (boards a little worn on edges, small crack in cloth on fold at base of spine). Minor toning to text block edges. Internally neat, clean bright and tight, barring a book exchange stamp on the front free endpaper and hint of page creaming. In its original dust jacket (minor chapping along top edge, slightly rubbed on corners, a few small flecks on front inner flap). Not price clipped. The dust jacket is now protected in an archival-quality mylar wrapper, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives.
