Bound in blue cloth-covered boards with red decorations and black lettering (boards are strong and square, rubbed and rounded at spine tip and corners, soiled and discoloured). Elegant prize presentation plate on front paste down, indicating that the volumes was presented to Helen Kelly by Whitstable and Seasalter Trust Schools in 1885, front free endpaper absent, a little spotting, and some toning and marks on half title page. A now hard to find collection of children's somewhat moralistic stories.
