First edition, second impression. 276pp. In marble-effect pink paper covered boards with gilt lettering on spine (boards worn, rubbed around spine, rounded on corners). Previous owner's name on front free endpaper, a little page toning; the rear free endpaper has been crudely removed, and the last leaf has a small portion of the corner missing (not affecting text). Slightly loose. An early work from the prolific author, David Garnett, about two young men who grew up together and became rivals for the attention and affection of the same woman. Small 8vo.
