Not dated but circa 1900. x, 310pp plus publisher's catalogue at rear. In strong green cloth with gilt lettering and decoration front and spine, top edge gilt (boards just a little rubbed at spine tips and rear lower corner). Internally endpapers lightly tanned and spotted, else neat, clean, bright and tight. A handsome volume of Plato's classic Politela - the Commonwealth, usually translated as The Republic of Plato, translated into English by Thomas Taylor.
