First edition. xxviii, 832pp, including table of cases. Quarter bound in tan calf's leather over marbled paper boards, with red spine label and gilt titles. Boards are strong and square, rubbed at edges, right through on rounded corners, worn, chipped in places, red spine label chipped). Previous owner's name on flyleaf, hinges cracked, else internally neat, clean and tidy. Firmly bound. Hubback's work on succession to and inheritance of real and personal property and peerages, a door-stopping legal treatise used as the standard reference work on the topic well into the early years of the 20th century. Incidentally, Hubback married Catherine Austen, niece of Jane Austen. A very good, first edition, copy.
