Not dated but circa 1940. 156pp, colour plate frontispiece and numerous line drawing illustrations in text. In pictorial boards with linen spine (boards and shelf worn, rubbed at edges, with a couple of small chips, cloth rounded at spine tips, sunned spine, text block edges tanned). Hint of tanning on endpapers and page margins, previous owner's inscription on front paste down, dated 1943. Firmly bound. A selection of illustrated stories for girls in which sports and horses seem to feature frequently.
