First edition, first printing. vi, 312pp, with 32 photographs, six maps and sketches by the author. Quarter bound in cloth over textured paper boards (boards worn all over, a little soiled, cloth faded around spine, a little rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends). Some spotting on first and last few leaves, previous owner's inscription, dated 1931, on front paste down, one plate illustration has some minor loss across one corner - not affecting the image.
