Not dated but c 2000. 1st Thus. Beautifully decorated white cloth boards (just a little rounded at spine head). Mild smudging at base of page for last few pages, previous owner's label on rear paste down endpaper, else internally neat, clean and bright throughout. In dust jacket with matching design (lightly bumped along upper edge). Purple decorations and motifs on every page. 16 full page colour illustrations. Compact and elegant edition of this classic. The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam is the title given by FitzGerald to his 1859 translation from Persian into English of a series of quatrains attributed to Omar Khayyam (1048-1131), also known as the Astronomer-Poet of Persia.
