Undated (circa 1930s) & Unpaginated. Quarter bound in yellow cloth over pictorial paper-covered boards, black titles on spine. Bumped spine ends, corners and edges. Wear to covers. Dusty top text block edge, others just starting to fox. Prelim pages foxing. Previous owner has written on verso of half-title page 'Robinson Crusoe - The author, Daniel Defoe, is supposed to have based his story on the experiences of Alexander Selkirk who had lived alone on the island of Juan Fernandez in the Pacific Ocean for 4 years'. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. No dust jacket, likely as issued. Fictional autobiography of a castaway who is shipwrecked on an island off the coast of the Americas and who spends 27 years before finally being rescued. 8 colour illustrations and numerous black and white line-drawings by J Finnemore. 4to.
