1st edition, first impression (UK publication preceding that in the USA by some four years). 124pp with line drawings in text by Faith Jacques. In deep blue cloth-covered casing with gilt titles on spine (a tad rounded on corners, gently bruised at spine ends). Previous owner's name, dated 1980, on front free endpaper, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust jacket (very lightly bumped on edges, price clipped). Dust jacket now protected in an archival quality Mylar wrapper, fitted without the use of tape and adhesives. A hard to find first edition of this story for children in which Princess Amy grows up so ordinary that some people don't recognise her as a Princess. 8vo.
