One of a limited first edition, privately printed, exclusively for Franklin Library subscribers. A handsome, finely produce volume in near fine condition throughout (very tiny rub on rear lower corner). Renowned for fine bindings and collectors' editions of beautiful literature, the Franklin Library produced some of the most attractive and desirable books of the 20th century. Poole's second novel, a striking story of the continuity of life from generation to generation in New York City in the late 19th century, won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction when it was first published in 1918. 8vo.
