Undated but circa 1920. 128pp, engraved frontispiece and there further similar illustrations. Decorative headpieces. In pictorial blue cloth binding (showing a young lady reading to a boy, surrounded by flowers), decorations front and spine. 8vo. Boards heavily worn and marked all over, rubbing and rounding at corners and spine tips, very slightly bowed, and reinforced with tape around edges and spine. Some spotting on prelims and one page spread markedly soiled. Previous owner's label, dated 1935, on front free endpaper. Slightly loose. . A charming, if somewhat moralistic to modern eyes, story for children. Hard to find title.
