Six page programme, in printed card covers, with cord marker, for the Farewell Dinner aboard the S S Pan America on 19 September 1936, when the ship was due to leave Buenos Aires for New York under the command of Thomas J Simmons. Card covers a little soiled and spotted, cord marker fraying at end; and the Autograph page of the programme has five signatures added (presumably gathered from attendees at the dinner). A lovely, evocative item from the golden age of steamship travel.
